Indications are Metaphyseal fractures of the proximal Tibia, Medial tibial plateau and distal Tibia, They are also for use in fixation of osteopenic bone and fixation of nonunions and Malunions. For stabilization of plate two approaches are used, 1.With the knee in slight flexion, make a straight or slightly, Curved incision running from the medial epicondyle toward, the posteromedial edge of the tibia. The incision can be extended as needed both proximally and distally. 2.POSTEROMEDIAL APPROACH, in which 1 cm from posterior border tibia between medial gastrocneumius and pes anserinus incision is placed.
