Nail is used for Sub-Trochanteric Trochanteric Fracture.

For inserting a nail 5cm incision is made by palpating the greater trochanter approximately 5cm to 8cm proximal from the tip of the greater trochanter and making a parallel incision in the fasciae of the gluteus medius and split the gluteus medius in line with the fibres.
